Within Silence is a melodic Power Metal band from Slovakia that was founded back in 2008 by vocalist-Martin Klein & guitarist-Richard Germanus. After forming, the two got to work on filling the remaining positions of the band. Martin & Richard brought on guitarist-Martin Cico, bassist-Filip Andel, & drummer-Peter Gacik to complete the line-up. The newly formed group then began work on their first project. However, it took seven years of hard work before the band would release their debut album titled 'Gallery of Life' on Uterium Records. The album was well received by the Metal community and garnered the band some great reviews. Just 2 years later, in 2017 Within Silence released their highly anticipated full-length follow-up album titled 'Return From The Shadows' on Ulterium Records. This second release found the band in top form with another solid Power Metal album that received rave reviews. 'Return From The Shadows' was filled with explosive energy from beginning to end along with all the right hooks. With this 2nd release, the band made clear to their fans within their lyrics, that they are a Christan band. The roster for 'Return From The Shadows' was comprised of vocalist-Martin Klein, guitarist-Richard Germanus, guitarist-Martin Cico, bassist-Viktor Varga, and drummer-Peter Gacik. After the release of their 2017 full-length album, the band seemed to go on hiatus leaving fans to wonder if they would ever hear from this European PM band again.

       Over the years, in support of their first two albums, Within Silence has played many shows in Slovakia and around Europe, including festivals in Germany, Norway, the Netherlands, and Switzerland. In 2016 they supported Theocracy on their 'Ghost Ship' European Tour and in 2018 they supported Sleeping Romance on their 'Alba European Tour'.

       In 2024 Within Silence returned to the Metal scene with the release of their 3rd full-length studio album titled 'The Eclipse Of Worlds' on Ulterium Records. The album was produced and recorded in Slovakia by Within Silence with the support of Jan Cvercko & Jan Kubas. The record was mixed by Matt Smith(Theocracy) and mastered by Jacob Hansen. The album's cover art was done by Jan Yrlund(Darkgrove Design). I must say, the album's artwork fits the bill for a Power Metal album with an epic scene complete with dragons, knights, and angels battling.
        With this being the band's third release, there has been some high expectations for this record to say the least. With just one spin of 'The Eclipse Of Worlds' it's easy to see that this album is something special. The record does not disappoint and delivers the Metal goods in an epic way. There's plenty of high energy Power Metal to be had, along with memorial guitar solos, time changes, Neo-classical elements, folk elements, Rock fusion, subtle Thrash touches, and punishing drums with double bass pedal action throughout the album.
​       There are a couple of changes to the line-up to report with Martin Cico being replaced by guitarist-Marian Gonda and Peter Gacik being replaced by drummer-Peter Pleva. The full roster is comprised of ​vocalist-Martin Klein, guitarist-Richard Germanus, guitarist-Marian Gonda, bassist-Viktor Varga, and percussionist-Peter Pleva on drums.        

       The guitars are managed by shredders Richard Germanus & Marian Gonda. The guitar solos deliver up plenty of variety from track to track with differing sounds and styles. Richard & Marian are a strong force together and give the listener plenty of Metal to chew on from beginning to end. These two offer up lethal doses of high energy Power Metal all-the-while mixing in some Thrash and Neo-classical flavorings.​

       Peter Pleva's percussion work doesn't go unnoticed on this latest release. Pleva unleashes a storm from behind the kit from start to finish helping make this the band's heaviest albums to date.
