Traxter is a Heavy Metal band from the west coast and more specifically the Bakersfield, California area. Traxter is the brainchild of vocalist-​Terrence Fischer who formed the band back in 1987. Terrence brought on guitarist-Leonard Bennett, bassist-Bobby Del Rey, and drummer-Darrin Lee Kirkindoll to fill the remaining positions and complete the roster. With a full line-up, the band got to work on recording material for a debut release. ​In 1991 Traxter released their debut full-length studio album titled 'Rock 'N Race' on the Lordz record label. With the release of 'Rock'N Race', the band received rave reviews throughout the Metal realm. In 1992 Traxter hit the studios once more and began recording material for a follow-up album. However, the group never finished the recording process & the album never came to fruition. It was at this time that the band went on an extended hiatus and were not heard from by their fans again.
       However, 3-decades later, in 2024 Traxter shook off the dust, oiled the gears and returned to the studios to finish what they started back in '92.

       In 2026 Traxter released their follow-up studio EP titled 'Take Heed' on Roxx Records. The CD comes in a Jewel case with a six-page folding lyric insert & has received a one-time 500-piece pressing. 'Take Heed' is a concept album featuring 6 previously unreleased tracks that convey various warnings as the title suggests-'Take Heed'. The band's sound, throughout this sophomore project, can be described as having technical arrangements, melodic inclinations, jam band sessions, and progressive elements. Honestly, it took quite a few spins of this record to wrap my head around this release and the band's intricate arrangements. Take Heed is a solid release and will go down as an instant classic!
