Reign of Glory is a Heavy Metal band that hales from Nashville, Tennessee and is the brainchild of guitarist-Nick Layton and bassist-Roger Dale Martin. Not long after joining forces, Layton & Martin got to work on filling the remaining band positions. Through a process of much searching and consideration, in June of 2022 the Metal realm saw the formation of a brand-new supergroup. The line-up had Robyn Kyle Basauri(Red Sea, Die Happy) fronting the band, Nick Layton (FIREWOLFE, Q5, Layton & Martin) on guitars, Roger Dale Martin(Vengeance Rising, Once Dead, Die Happy) on bass, and percussionist-Jim Chaffin(The Crucified, Deliverance, The Blamed) on drums. Later that same year, Reign Of Glory released their debut full-length studio album titled 'All Will Bow' on Roxx Records. Their debut hit all the marks and went on to receive rave reviews from around the world.
After the release of their debut, Reign of Glory got to work on new material for second album.

In 2025 Reign of Glory followed up with the release of their sophomore full-length studio album simply
titled 'Slingshot' on Roxx Records. 'Slingshot' was released on CD, LP(blood moon vinyl), and digital formats.   'Slingshot' is a straightforward rocker executing an old-school ‘80s style retro vibe. The album features soaring vocals, '80s style shredding, heavy bass lines, and pounding drums.

With the release of 'Slingshot' came a few changes to the band's line-up with Robyn Kyle Basauri being replaced by vocalist-Mark Boals(Yngwie Malmsteen) and Jim Chaffin being replaced by drummer-Jeffrey McCormack(Fifth Angel). The reason for the changes to the roster was that the original vocalist and percussionist were simply not interested in continuing as a live act. The full roster includes vocalist-Mark Boals(Yngwie Malmsteen), guitarist-Nick Layton(FireWolfe, Q5), bassist-Roger Dale Martin(Die Happy), and drummer-Jeffrey McCormack(Fifth Angel, Heir Apparent, Les Carlsen). With this incredibly strong lineup in place, the band is out to prove that rock is undeniably alive and well with live performances.
The question at hand is, how does 'Slingshot' follow-up when the band already set the bar so high on their 2022 debut? Well, with new frontman-Mark Boals now handling vocals, this roster-change makes it very hard to compare this latest release to their first album. The main reason is that ROG now sounds more like a completely new band that might be better compared to the likes of Stryper or Holy Soldier. This '25 recording takes the listener on a trip back in time to a golden era of Metal and Rock n' Roll music. With the addition of Mark Boals'-Michael Sweetesque vocal delivery, combined with the band's 80's style arrangements, you'll be reaching for a can of hairspray & that illusive air-guitar!
       The track-list for 'Slingshot' includes 1.Hold On 2.Higher Ground 3.Unholy Prophet 4.Slingshot Of Faith 5.Shout 6.More Than A Memory 7.Unashamed 8.Holy, Holy, Holy 9.Shattered Chains 10.Too Close To Midnight.

Guitarist-Nick Layton(FireWolfe, Q5) lays down some sweet licks on this latest project.

Lyrics are thought provoking and
Christ centered as one can see in the following excerpts:
"Hold On"
So let the thunder roll
Let the lightning strike
Just keep on moving
You'll make it through the night
Just call on His name
To conquer sin and shame
You will never be the same

"Higher Ground"
I want to rise above the pain
To be free again
To where the angels sing
And the praises ring

Take me to higher ground
To where Your love abounds
Take me to higher ground
Where you'll never let me down
To higher ground

"Slingshot of Faith"
With a slingshot of faith
I'll bring him down
In the name of the King
He'll hit the ground
With a slingshot of faith
I will see
With a slingshot of faith
The victory!

"Shout"
Walls 'n stones so high
a fortress strong
City of evil full of wickedness too long
Hear the wind that cries out pain and despair
Now the call of God is rising in the air!

Seven times on the seventh day
Marching around Jericho
We...
shout!
Can you hear the thunder?
Shout!
Walls coming down
Shout!
You can feel the glory all around
Shout!
Can you hear the trumpet?
Shout!
Give it your all
In the name of God Jericho will fall

"More Than a Memory"
I was lost broken and feeling so alone
Chasing shadows I hadn't chosen
Then one day Your light shined on me
Showing things I could not see
And You set me free to be

All I am all that I want to be
Your my reason to believe
Your more than a memory
Yeah, Oh
Your more than a memory
